Celebration of the "Pi-Day"

Celebration of the "Pi-Day"

Yesterday ILG School celebrated its first "Pi-Day".

On March 14th (Pi = 3.14), students around the world enjoy this math celebration that coincides as well with Albert Einstein's birthday. Our sixth graders conducted a research on this important mathematical constant and presented their findings to Grade 4 & Grade 5 students.

They also enjoyed several activities such us lunch with pizza and pie and the reciting digits if Pi challenge. One of our students was able to memorize more than 20 of them! The hit of the day came with sixth graders and their teachers were pied in the face. We have created a tradition! Enjoy the pictures!
